Missing sideboard cards? The full 15-card sideboard runs about $226.
Buy sideboard on ManapoolBarrowgoyf is a resilient lifelinking, deathtouch threat that dodges Fatal Push and blocks Murktide Regent or Nethergoyf profitably while punishing their graveyard-fueled gameplan. Force of Negation lets us fight over their Tamiyo or Murktide for free on their turn, and Duress strips their Force of Will or Thoughtseize before we commit our own threats. Boomerang Basics is too slow against their proactive disruption, and with Barrowgoyf and Force of Negation raising our curve, we can trim a couple of Daze and Flow State since they don't advance our board against their own countermagic-heavy plan. Keep Thoughtseize and Force of Will in full to keep winning the disruption war.
Barrowgoyf's deathtouch lets it trade up with anything they build, including pumped Cat tokens or Ajani, Nacatl Pariah, while its lifelink helps against their aggressive clock. Engineered Explosives can be set to blow up their swarm of 1-mana threats like Ocelot Pride and Guide of Souls, or their 2-drops like Ajani and Amped Raptor, resetting their board. Brazen Borrower's Adventure bounces a problematic Ajani or Static Prison-locked permanent while the creature side blocks their ground threats in the air. Daze is weak since they aren't relying on tempo-sensitive spells we need to counter for free, and Boomerang Basics is replaced by more impactful sideboard tools.
Force of Negation is a strong free counter against their Tamiyo, Inquisitive Student, Teferi, Time Raveler, or Quantum Riddler on their turn, and it can stop a Show and Tell-style blowout if they ever untap with Teferi's static ability shutting off our own instant-speed interaction. Brazen Borrower's Adventure bounces Phelia, Exuberant Shepherd or Teferi, Time Raveler at instant speed, buying tempo, and the flying body blocks Quantum Riddler in the air. Duress proactively strips their Force of Will or countermagic before we deploy Thoughtseize or a threat, which matters against a deck full of answers. Boomerang Basics is redundant with our other bounce and Daze is a weaker two-for-one against their own Wasteland-heavy, tempo-savvy deck.
