Dimir Tempo leans on Force of Will, Daze, and a deep cantrip suite to disrupt our combo while Wasteland attacks our mana. Thoughtseize helps strip their free countermagic before we go off, and the extra Hexing Squelcher makes our spells uncounterable and gives our few creatures ward, blunting Force of Will and Daze. Song of Creation is risky here since it forces discard at end of turn and we may not close in one turn against their disruption, so we trim it. Undercity Sewers comes out since it enters tapped and we want untapped mana against their Wasteland pressure; the land-for-land swap keeps our mana base intact.

Ocelot Pride Midrange backs up its go-wide Cat plan with Wasteland and Karakas disrupting our mana and legendary threats, plus Thoughtseize/Orcish Bowmasters punishing our cantrips. Thoughtseize lets us proactively take their Thoughtseize or a key piece before they can disrupt our combo turn. Boseiju, Who Endures can be cracked for its Channel ability to blow up their Wasteland or Karakas, or just played as a green source; since it's a land, we swap it in for fetchlands on a land-for-land basis to keep the manabase size the same while adding interaction against their mana disruption.

Sultai Aluren is a fast glass-cannon combo deck with Show and Tell, Omniscience, and Force of Will backup; the race is about who assembles their engine first. Thoughtseize lets us proactively strip their Show and Tell, Aluren, or Force of Will before they can protect their plan, which is often better than reacting. Song of Creation's forced end-of-turn discard is too risky in a matchup where we need to hold up resources or win outright in one turn, so we shave one copy for the discard spell.
