Dimir Tempo relies on resolving Murktide Regent or a flipped Tamiyo and then protecting it with Daze and Force of Will, so Surgical Extraction can rip Murktide out of their deck/graveyard entirely once seen, or strip a troublesome Nethergoyf/Moonshadow. Massacre sweeps their cheap bodies like Nethergoyf, Orcish Bowmasters, and Bilbo for free since we control Swamps and they'll have Islands, resetting the board after a Reanimate target gets picked off. Koma comes out since its 6 mana is too slow against their Wasteland-backed tempo plan, and one Collective Brutality trims since their hand disruption-heavy opening means the discard mode is less reliably live. Keep the reanimation engine intact as our fast graveyard plan outraces their disruption if we protect our key spells with Thoughtseize and Unmask.

Ocelot Pride Midrange fills the board with small Cat tokens and Amped Raptor/Voice of Victory bodies, making Massacre's -2/-2 a clean sweep of their 1/1 and 2/1 tokens plus Ajani's Cat Warriors and Guide of Souls. The extra Collective Brutality adds more -2/-2 and life-drain modes against their go-wide plan, while discard from the first copy can strip Swords to Plowshares before it answers our reanimated threats. Koma is too slow and dies to Swords to Plowshares or Wasteland-fueled tempo before it ever triggers, so it comes out; Cabal Therapy trims since their hand will often be depleted by the time we'd want to cast it, and Wasteland pressure makes holding up mana for flashback unreliable. Keep the graveyard engine as our best angle is still resolving Griselbrand or Atraxa before their board overwhelms us.

This is a pure race where both decks want to cheat in Atraxa; Surgical Extraction can exile their Atraxa or Acererak the Archlich out of reach once one hits a graveyard or gets discarded, denying their biggest payoffs. Massacre's -2/-2 doesn't kill their big reanimation targets but can be held back versus the rare early creature, and our own Lotus Petal/Dark Ritual-fueled plan is faster than their Aluren/Show and Tell setup if unmolested. Archon of Cruelty and Koma come out since they're clunky to hard-cast and we'd rather reanimate Griselbrand or Atraxa directly; keep Thoughtseize and Unmask in to strip their Show and Tell or Aluren before it resolves. Speed and disruption matter far more here than any sweeper effect.
