Boros Energy is an aggro-midrange deck that generates value through Ocelot Pride, Guide of Souls, and Phlage while threatening Blood Moon to punish greedy manabases. Post-board, Wrath of the Skies is devastating against their wide boards of small creatures and tokens, and additional Prismatic Endings give you clean answers to Goblin Bombardment and early threats. Focus on stabilizing the board early with Fatal Push and Solitude, then grind them out with Overlord of the Balemurk and blink loops. Fetch basics aggressively to play around Blood Moon, and save Thoughtseize for Phlage or Blood Moon rather than their one-drops.
The mirror-adjacent matchup against Jeskai Blink revolves around gaining incremental value through blink loops while answering their Ragavan and Phlage. Their Consign to Memory can counter your key ETB creatures, so bait counters before committing Overlord of the Balemurk or Solitude. Post-board, additional Prismatic Endings cleanly answer Ragavan and Phlage, while your Thoughtseizes give you an edge in sequencing that Jeskai lacks. This is a grindy matchup where Teferi shines by shutting off their Ephemerate and Consign to Memory on your turn; protect him aggressively.
Affinity builds a board of cheap artifacts, deploys Urza's Saga for Constructs, and threatens Kappa Cannoneer as an evasive finisher that snowballs quickly. Prismatic Ending is excellent at answering Mox Opal, Engineered Explosives, and Saga tokens, while Wrath of the Skies can reset their entire board including Constructs. Damping Sphere shuts down Urza's Saga entirely and slows their mana production from artifact synergies. Trim the slower graveyard-reliant cards and Ephemerate since this matchup is about efficient removal and board control rather than blink value loops.
