Goblins is a fast aggro deck that aims to overwhelm you with Goblin Lackey and Goblin Warchief before your engine comes online — your primary goal is to survive long enough to establish Solitary Confinement, which locks them out of attacking entirely. Parallax Wave is your best early answer, able to exile multiple attackers and buy crucial turns; prioritize finding it alongside your draw engines. Swords to Plowshares handles anything Parallax Wave can't deal with cleanly, especially Goblin Sharpshooter, which can ping your Argothian Enchantresses in response to triggers. Aura of Silence comes in as additional disruption that taxes their Goblin Tinkerer and any artifact or enchantment they bring in from their sideboard, including Tormod's Crypt; the extra Solitary Confinement copy improves your odds of finding the lock piece you need. Watch out for Wasteland and Rishadan Port targeting Serra's Sanctum — keep fetching basic lands to protect your white mana sources for Opalescence and Parallax Wave.

This matchup is defined by their dense countermagic package — Counterspell, Daze, Foil, and Gush mean resolving key enchantments requires forcing them off mana first. Xantid Swarm is your most important sideboard card: attacking into their open board forces them to tap out before your main phase, leaving them unable to counter your Enchantress's Presence or Sterling Grove. Abeyance further protects a pivotal turn by preventing them from casting instants and sorceries while you develop your board. Parallax Wave and Swords to Plowshares are your primary answers to Phyrexian Dreadnought — prioritize resolving one of these early under Swarm coverage, as a 12/12 trampler closes the game before your engine can stabilize. We trim Replenish because it is a sorcery that is trivially countered before you have meaningful enchantments in the graveyard, and Aura of Silence comes in to tax and answer their Powder Keg, which is their best tool for breaking up an established enchantment board.

This is a mirror match where both players are racing to assemble the same engine, so the game typically comes down to who resolves an unanswered Opalescence or locks the board with Solitary Confinement first. Parallax Wave is the key interactive piece — using it to flicker your own Argothian Enchantresses or to exile opposing creatures and Opalescence-animated enchantments is often the decisive play. Aura of Silence comes in to tax or destroy problematic enchantments like Sterling Grove and Opalescence before they stabilize the opponent's position. Abeyance buys a critical tempo turn to push through your own combo turn while denying your opponent their draw step and spells. Karmic Justice discourages your opponent from targeting your enchantments with Seal of Cleansing, creating a deterrent that can swing the symmetrical resource war in your favor.
