Gruul Goblins fields an army of 1- and 2-toughness bodies (Goblin Lackey, Mogg Fanatic, Matron, Ringleader, King, and Siege-Gang's tokens), making Pyroclasm a near-blowout that clears their board for 2 mana. Blue Elemental Blast answers a key red permanent like Goblin Warchief while countering key red spells. Daze is weak here since it costs you tempo against a deck that doesn't care about card advantage, and Mana Leak is too easily played around once they have Rishadan Port mana up, so both come out. Keep Wild Mongrel and Basking Rootwalla in to race and use Survival of the Fittest to find Gilded Drake against their bigger threats like Siege-Gang Commander.

Mono-Blue Stiflenought has no red spells or permanents, so Blue Elemental Blast and Hydroblast are dead, while Naturalize can target their Phyrexian Dreadnoughts as well as Powder Keg. This matchup is decided by the Daze and Mana Leak war over their Phyrexian Dreadnought and Stifle-based combo, so the maindeck's countermagic stays in unchanged (though Wasteland cannot target their basic lands for Gush/Foil alternate costs). Prioritize using Survival of the Fittest to find Gilded Drake as a one-sided answer to a resolved Phyrexian Dreadnought, since it exchanges itself for their 12/12. Careful Study and Frantic Search should be sequenced to hold up Daze mana whenever possible.

Terrageddon runs Sylvan Library, Mox Diamond, and Seal of Cleansing as prime Naturalize targets, and stripping Sylvan Library slows their card advantage engine considerably before an Armageddon locks the game down. Pyroclasm cleans up their small creatures like Weathered Wayfarer and Werebear before threshold turns on. Daze and Mana Leak are weak once Armageddon strips everyone's lands and the game becomes a topdeck war, while Wonder and Waterfront Bouncer also trim down. Try to keep Wasteland available to blow up their Treetop Village or a key nonbasic before Armageddon locks in a land-light board.
