This matchup is a grind against Kaito, Enduring Curiosity, and a deep removal suite, so Duress proactively clears the way for your threats and protects against their Requiting Hex and Bitter Triumph before they can be used efficiently. Bitter Triumph gives you unconditional answers to Kaito (once it's a planeswalker or creature) and other key threats like Floodpits Drowner. Flamecache Gecko and some copies of Hired Claw are the weakest bodies against a deck full of efficient removal and bounce, so trimming them for more impactful interaction is correct. Keep your full removal suite of Burst Lightning and Stingerquill Charm since Kaito and Enduring Curiosity are prime targets.

Dimir Excruciator wants to land Deadly Cover-Up and their planeswalkers uncontested, so Duress stripping those before they resolve is huge value. Duress can only take noncreature, nonland cards, so it can't touch Deceit, Superior Spider-Man or Seasoned Cryomancer. Burst Lightning is often too small to matter against their card-advantage plan and can't stop Deadly Cover-Up, so it comes out. Thought-Stalker Warlock adds another proactive discard-and-attack body that keeps pressuring between their removal spells, and if they've lost life this turn it can take any nonland card, including a creature like Deceit that Duress can't. Keep Stingerquill Charm in since its 3 damage still answers Seasoned Cryomancer, and keep Master of Barbs in as a cheap threat to keep up the pressure.

Mono-green Landfall ramps into big threats like Mossborn Hydra and Mightform Harmonizer that can quickly outsize your small Lizards, so Bitter Triumph provides unconditional removal that doesn't care about their counters. Laughing Jasper Flint is a sturdy 4/3 body that can block or race while generating extra resources from their library. Hired Claw and some Flamecache Geckos are too fragile to profitably trade with their growing threats, so they come out. Keep Burst Lightning and Stingerquill Charm to pick off their mana creatures like Llanowar Elves and Sazh's Chocobo before they snowball.
