Buy sideboard on ManapoolIzzet Spellementals leans on Hearth Elemental and Eddymurk Crab getting cheaper via instants/sorceries in the graveyard, so Rest in Peace shuts off that cost reduction and strands their Opt/Sleight of Hand plan while exiling graveyards outright. Torpor Orb blanks the enters-the-battlefield tap effect on Eddymurk Crab and the enters-the-battlefield bounce trigger on Sunderflock. Esper Origins and Shared Roots are the weakest value pieces against a deck racing on tempo, so they make way without touching the landfall/Ba Sing Se engine.
UR Aggro wants to race with Slickshot Show-Off and burn, so Sheltered by Ghosts gives one of our creatures +1/+0, lifelink and ward {2} to stabilize the race while also exiling one of their key permanents (like Slickshot Show-Off or Eddymurk Crab) on entry. The enchanted creature is harder to hit with Burst Lightning thanks to ward, since they must pay 2 more, and lifelink buys life back from their aggressive clock. Esper Origins and one Shared Roots are too slow against this fast matchup and get cut for the proactive answer.
Dimir Midrange relies heavily on ETB value from Dream Beavers, Floodpits Drowner, and Spyglass Siren, so Torpor Orb turns off all of those triggers and significantly dulls their card advantage engine. Esper Origins trades out since its incremental value is less impactful against a grindy midrange deck that will out-card-advantage us with Kaito and Enduring Curiosity. Keep the full landfall suite active, as it's our best way to out-tempo their removal-heavy plan.
