Death and Taxes leans on recursive value creatures like Recruiter of the Guard, Overlord of the Balemurk, and Witch Enchanter, so Endurance both resets their graveyard to stop recursion loops and functions as a solid flash blocker against their aggressive curve. Rest in Peace further locks down their graveyard-based value engines like Overlord of the Balemurk's return trigger while being a permanent they'll struggle to interact with given their limited enchantment removal. Force of Negation is weaker here since their gameplan is mostly creature-based and proactive rather than reliant on key noncreature spells we need to counter, and our own Karakas and Swords to Plowshares already handle their legendary and nonlegendary threats well. The rest of our counter and removal suite lines up fine against their aggressive Thalia, Guardian of Thraben-backed plan.
