Doomsday wants to resolve its namesake sorcery and combo off with Thassa's Oracle or Lion's Eye Diamond chains, so Hexing Squelcher is a proactive clock that also protects our own spells from Force of Will while applying ward pressure on their removal. Mindbreak Trap can strip away a Doomsday pile's protection spells like Daze or counter their combo turn outright when they chain multiple spells. Crop Rotation, Expedition Map, and Boseiju are too slow and don't interact with their combo plan, so they come out for faster, more disruptive cards.
