Izzet Affinity mirrors our Tron shell but adds Thundertrap Trainer and cheap artifacts; Engineered Explosives can be set to clear their cheap permanents like Giant's Boulder (mana value 1) or Thundertrap Trainer (mana value 2), and Dismember cleanly kills Thundertrap Trainer. Tormod's Crypt disrupts any incidental graveyard value and can be used proactively before they build up resources. Crop Rotation and Expedition Map are trimmed since both decks have very similar, already-consistent Tron manabases, so the swap favors more impactful spells. Trinisphere and Karn, the Great Creator remain central, as taxing their cheap spells and shutting off the activated abilities of their artifacts, such as Giant's Boulder and The One Ring, is still the core gameplan.
