WU plays Tamiyo, Inquisitive Student and Phelia, Exuberant Shepherd as resilient flying/value threats that are hard to profitably block, so Swords to Plowshares and Dismember give us cheap, efficient answers. Both removal spells dodge their counterspell suite somewhat by being cheap enough to resolve through Daze and still answer a problematic Tamiyo or Phelia before it snowballs. Crop Rotation and Expedition Map are cut for being too slow against a tempo-oriented deck that wants to race our mana development. Trinisphere stays in, since it severely taxes their one-mana cantrips and interaction like Brainstorm, Ponder, Daze, and Stifle.
