Izzet Affinity is another artifact-heavy colorless-leaning prison/ramp deck full of colorless spells and permanents (Giant's Boulder, The One Ring, Ugin, Eldrazi Confluence, Kozilek's Command with generic X cost) that Consign to Memory can counter for cheap. Force of Negation lets us counter their noncreature spells on their turn, and Pithing Needle can lock down Karn, the Great Creator's activations or a problematic Giant's Boulder. We trim Shuko and Cabal Therapy since this matchup is about racing their engine with interaction rather than attacking, and cut Orim's Chant plus two Nomads en-Kor for more hard answers to their card advantage engines.
