UBG Reanimator wants to use Dark Ritual for mana or Faithless Looting to discard into the graveyard and cheat Griselbrand, Atraxa, Grand Unifier, or Archon of Cruelty into play with Reanimate, Animate Dead, or Shallow Grave. Static Prison is a clean, mana-efficient answer to whatever fatty they land, exiling it regardless of size. Surgical Extraction can target a key reanimation card in their graveyard once they discard it, stripping all copies of it from their hand, graveyard, and library, and Tormod's Crypt backs that up by clearing their graveyard before they can find a second copy. We trim Pithing Needle, Manifold Key, and a couple of artifact mana pieces that matter less once we're playing a grindier, answer-based game.
