Eldrazi plays a low land count reliant on Ancient Tomb, Eldrazi Temple, and Cavern of Souls to power out huge threats, so White Orchid Phantom's land destruction is weaker against their colorless manabase — White Orchid Phantom's own triggered ability lets the destroyed land's controller search for a basic replacement, cushioning the tempo hit. Thoughtseize is poor against a deck full of hard-to-answer 4+ mana threats, so pivoting to tax effects is better: Disruptor Flute names Chalice of the Void or Kozilek's Command to blunt their key disruption, and Deafening Silence limits their noncreature spells such as Kozilek's Command to one per turn. Keep Swords to Plowshares and Solitude as our best answers to their large creatures.
