Erode can destroy a Marit Lage token created by Dark Depths, since Erode destroys any target creature regardless of its indestructible status being irrelevant to a destroy effect only if the creature lacks indestructible — Marit Lage is indestructible, so Erode cannot destroy it; instead hold Erode for their other creatures like Icetill Explorer. Faerie Macabre is a proactive way to exile key utility lands from their graveyard interactions and can discard itself versus Life from the Loam value. Wasteland and Karakas remain crucial mainboard tools against their land-based engine (Karakas can bounce Dark Depths activations indirectly by targeting nothing relevant, but more importantly answers any legendary threat they generate). We trim situational equipment that doesn't pressure their lock pieces fast enough.
