Disruptor Flute can name Urza's Saga to shut off its chapter abilities, or name The One Ring to tax it and prevent its card-draw activation (a mana ability restriction stops the nonmana draw ability), significantly slowing their artifact combo engine. Faerie Macabre gives us a way to proactively strip graveyard-based recursion pieces they might rely on. Wasteland remains a premium mainboard tool against their heavy reliance on Urza's Tower/Urza's Workshop/Urza's Saga for mana. We trim slower equipment that doesn't interact with their artifact-based combo plan, keeping Thoughtseize to strip Karn, the Great Creator or The One Ring before they resolve.
