Faerie Macabre and Surgical Extraction attack their reanimation plan by exiling cards from graveyards (Faerie Macabre) or stripping all copies of a key reanimation target like Atraxa, Grand Unifier or Griselbrand from their deck entirely once one hits a graveyard. Meteor Sword and Flickerwisp are cut since they're too slow and don't interact with the turn-two Reanimate/Animate Dead plan. Keep Thoughtseize as our best proactive disruption to strip Reanimate, Animate Dead, or Shallow Grave before they can be used, and hold up Solitude/Swords to Plowshares to answer whatever they cheat into play. This is a small, surgical sideboard plan since our proactive game plan with Stoneforge Mystic and Thalia is already strong against their clunky, disruption-heavy draws.
