Lands wants to assemble Dark Depths plus Thespian's Stage for a 20/20 indestructible flying Marit Lage token, or grind with Life from the Loam and Urza's Saga tokens, with almost no spells for our countermagic or discard to interact with meaningfully. Damping Sphere taxes their land-based mana acceleration, notably limiting Ancient Tomb's double mana output and slowing down how many spells they chain off Crop Rotation and Life from the Loam in a turn. The extra Toxic Deluge helps sweep Urza's Saga Construct tokens, which can otherwise grow very large. Snuff Out, Drown in the Loch, and Stock Up are cut since Lands plays almost no creatures worth killing and has a near-empty graveyard for Drown's scaling, while our Wasteland and Force of Will remain crucial to stop their mana engine and protect our own plan.
