Ocelot Pride Midrange goes wide fast with Cat tokens off Ocelot Pride and Ajani, Nacatl Pariah, so the extra copy of Toxic Deluge is key to sweep their token board since the mainboard copy is often not enough against their repeated token generation. Surgical Extraction can strip every copy of Ocelot Pride or Ajani from hand, graveyard, and library to cut off their core engine pieces, though it needs one of those cards already in a graveyard to target. Unlicensed Hearse exiles creature cards from their graveyard, which blunts Lazotep Quarry's reanimation, and it can grow into a blocker once crewed. It can't exile tokens such as the Warrior tokens from Voice of Victory, since tokens cease to exist in the graveyard. Snuff Out stays in because many of their key threats like Ocelot Pride and Guide of Souls are white, not black, so it kills them cleanly, and it can be cast for free when pressured. Thoughtseize is cut because paying 2 life is costly against their proactive, lifelinking aggression, and Drown in the Loch and Stock Up are too slow and card-disadvantageous in the same spot. Force of Negation is less valuable since their deck is creature-heavy rather than relying on key noncreature spells.
