Death and Taxes brings efficient hatebears and hand disruption like Thoughtseize, plus taxing effects like Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, so Dauthi Voidwalker is excellent as an evasive shadow clock that dodges their ground blockers entirely, though Swords to Plowshares can still answer it. Portable Hole can exile a cheap problem permanent like Thalia before it taxes our noncreature-heavy plan, or a Stoneforge Mystic before it fetches equipment. Fatal Push struggles against their higher-mana-value threats like Overlord of the Balemurk, so it comes out along with Flow State, which is a lower-impact card-selection spell against their disruptive hand attacks.
