Lands relies heavily on Dark Depths plus Thespian's Stage for a fast Marit Lage, along with Urza's Saga and Mox Diamond for mana and artifact support. Force of Vigor is strong here: on their turn it can be cast for free by exiling a green card from hand, and it destroys up to two artifacts and/or enchantments, such as Urza's Saga, Mox Diamond or Exploration. It can't touch Thespian's Stage or Dark Depths, which are plain lands, so don't expect it to stop the Marit Lage plan directly. Haywire Mite is a cheap, one-shot answer to the same kinds of targets, including Urza's Saga, Exploration, Grafdigger's Cage or Disruptor Flute. Pithing Needle can still shut off Dark Depths' counter-removal activation, but swapping in the Force of Vigor package is a bigger upgrade against their artifact- and enchantment-reliant mana and engine, while Wasteland and Ghost Quarter already punish their nonbasic-heavy manabase. Nihil Spellbomb stays in because Lands has a real graveyard plan with Life from the Loam, Malevolent Rumble and Icetill Explorer. The slot comes from Fatal Push, which has few good targets in a deck with so few creatures and can't answer Marit Lage.
