Colorless is a Workshop-style artifact combo deck that aims to land Trinisphere or Karn, the Great Creator off fast mana to lock you out; treat every lock piece as a must-counter and back up Force of Will with Force of Negation, since a resolved Trinisphere makes the vast majority of your spells uncastable. Price of Progress is frequently a 4–8 damage sorcery given their all-nonbasic manabase of Ancient Tomb, Urza's Workshop, Urza's Saga, and Planar Nexus, and can close games on its own. Null Rod devastates their mana engine by shutting off Grim Monolith, Candelabra of Tawnos, The One Ring, and Manifold Key; Meltdown at X=2 or higher sweeps their artifact accelerants and hate pieces like Pithing Needle or Disruptor Flute in bulk. Boomerang Basics is dead in this matchup since they run zero basic lands, and Mishra's Bauble loses most of its value once Null Rod is in the deck.
