Null Rod shuts off their entire mana engine — Mox Opal, Lotus Petal, Urza's Bauble, and Mishra's Bauble all go offline, dramatically slowing their clock. Meltdown at X=1 or X=2 is a devastating sweeper against their artifact-dense board, especially against tokens and mana rocks. Consign to Memory answers Chalice of the Void (which they often land early to lock out your one-mana spells) as well as Kappa Cannoneer and Urza's Saga activations. Force of Will and Daze remain essential to counter their early Chalice and protect your own gameplan of pressuring them with Dragon's Rage Channeler and Murktide Regent before they can stabilize.
