In the Izzet Delver mirror-adjacent matchup, Pyroblast is a premium answer to their Brainstorm, Ponder, Daze, and Force of Will, or can destroy a resolved Murktide Regent at instant speed for a single mana. Meltdown can wipe their Mishra's Bauble and Cori-Steel Cutter tokens' equipment cheaply. Unholy Heat is cut since both decks race similarly and their Murktide Regent often outgrows it, while Boomerang Basics is too slow when tempo and card quality matter most. Keep Lightning Bolt and Wasteland, as both are premium in this grindy, resource-denial mirror.
