Lands decks rely on land-based value engines and Marit Lage tokens from Dark Depths, and while Stifle can stop a single Crop Rotation or Dark Depths counter removal in a pinch, it's often too narrow given their redundancy; Consign to Memory instead answers the Marit Lage token creation trigger by countering the triggered ability that sacrifices Dark Depths, and can hit any colorless spells they run. Erode is our best way to unconditionally kill a resolved 20/20 Marit Lage token or any other threat that slips through. We trim Force of Negation since their deck is mostly noncreature but very low on spells that matter to counter versus lands and activated abilities, and cut some Stifle copies for more proactive removal.
