WU is built around blue spells (Brainstorm, Ponder, Stifle, Consign to Memory), which Consign to Memory cannot counter since it only hits colorless spells and triggered abilities. Its value here is as an answer to their triggered abilities, such as Phelia, Exuberant Shepherd's attack trigger, Tamiyo, Inquisitive Student's investigate trigger, and the enters triggers on Quantum Riddler and Snapcaster Mage. Triumph of Saint Katherine is a large lifelink body that can be cast cheaply off its Miracle cost and stabilizes the ground against Phelia, Exuberant Shepherd, though it is vulnerable to their Swords to Plowshares, which exiles it directly and gets no value from Praesidium Protectiva. Eldrazi Confluence is too mana-intensive against their efficient Daze/Force of Will-protected tempo plan, and Sink into Stupor's bounce mode is weak against a deck that simply recasts bounced permanents with cheap mana, so both are cut.
