Force of Negation lets us counter key noncreature spells like Teferi, Time Raveler or Swords to Plowshares for free on their turn, which is crucial against a deck full of efficient noncreature threats and answers. Consign to Memory has no colorless spells to hit in this matchup, but it counters triggered abilities for a single blue mana, such as Phelia's attack trigger, Tamiyo's investigate trigger, or Quantum Riddler's enter trigger. Cabal Therapy is weaker since WU doesn't hinge on one key namable card, and Wail of the Forgotten is too slow against their efficient tempo plan. We keep our full Force of Will/Daze package to fight through their countermagic and protect our own threats.
