Trinisphere is excellent against their cheap artifact plan, taxing every cheap spell to three mana and slowing down zero-mana artifacts, cheap threats, and their countermagic suite significantly. Disruptor Flute can name Goblin Welder to tax it further and shut off Welder's activated abilities, disrupting their artifact synergy engine. Chalice of the Void is worse here since their spells span multiple mana values that a static one-count won't stop, and their deck can play around a low chalice more easily with affinity and improvise spells. Trim Lotus Petal since the extra fast mana matters less in this grindier, higher-mana-value matchup.
