Faerie Macabre directly attacks Life from the Loam's dredge recursion and strips their graveyard-based land recycling engine, while also hitting Malevolent Rumble's graveyard fill. Containment Priest doesn't stop Marit Lage (it's a token, not cast), but it's still a cheap resilient clock that dodges their removal-light plan. We trim Chrome Mox and Lotus Petal since this is a grindy, patient matchup where we want more interaction rather than maximum speed, and we don't want to feed Wasteland-adjacent tempo loss by overextending our own mana base further.
