Deafening Silence is one of the best hate cards against Doomsday, limiting the opponent to one noncreature spell per turn and severely disrupting their ability to chain Dark Ritual into Doomsday plus a cantrip to find their Thassa's Oracle win. Null Rod turns off Lion's Eye Diamond's mana ability, removing a key combo piece from their kill sequences. Static Prison and Goblin Bombardment are far less relevant since the opponent runs few creatures worth targeting early. Keep Thoughtseize and Orcish Bowmasters in, as stripping their hand before they combo off and punishing their cantrips remains central to winning this matchup.
