This matchup is a race between our Painter-Grindstone combo and their artifact synergy engine, with Force of Will and post-board Disruptor Flute as their primary interaction against us. Blood Moon is the cornerstone of our sideboard plan: it converts their Seat of the Synods and Ancient Tombs into Mountains, effectively cutting off most of their blue mana and making Force of Will much harder to pitch or cast. Our own Disruptor Flutes come in to name Kappa Cannoneer, stopping it from accumulating +1/+1 counters via artifact ETBs and neutralizing their most dangerous threat. Lightning Bolt efficiently kills Emry, Lurker of the Loch before she can generate card advantage by casting artifacts from the graveyard, while Red Elemental Blast provides another answer to either Force of Will on the stack or Kappa Cannoneer as a blue permanent. Keep Pyroblast active in the main plan — it doubles as hard removal for Kappa Cannoneer and counter-disruption, and the goal is to establish Blood Moon quickly via Ancient Tomb or Lotus Petal to slow their blue development while assembling the Painter-Grindstone kill.
