Pithing Needle can be named on Aluren itself or on City of Traitors to blunt their mana base, giving you a proactive way to interact outside combat. Sink into Stupor is a clunky bounce effect against a deck that just recasts a free permanent next turn, so it comes out, and one Grindstone is trimmed since the matchup is rarely close enough to grind out with mill. The core artifact-affinity plan with Emry, Urza's Saga, and Painter's Servant still applies maximum pressure before they assemble their combo, so those pieces stay untouched.
