Fiery Confluence's 1-damage-to-each-creature mode sweeps the opponent's army of 1/1 Cat tokens from Ocelot Pride, and the 2/1 Cat Warrior tokens from Ajani die to it as well (1 toughness). Once the board is clear, lean on the 2-damage-to-opponent mode to race, and use two 1-damage modes to pick off Guide of Souls (1/2, survives a single 1-damage mode but dies to two). Mix modes based on board state, and remember the sweep hits our own small creatures too. Disruptor Flute can name Ocelot Pride or Ajani, Nacatl Pariah to make those spells cost {3} more, substantially slowing the token snowball. Sundering Eruption's land destruction is low-value here because the opponent's deck is full of cheap one- and two-drops and fetchlands and doesn't hinge on a single critical land, even with utility lands like Karakas in the mix. Shatterskull Smashing is a spell/land card, so cutting 2 copies also trims 2 land-capable slots from our manabase; we accept that to make room for the more proactive anti-token tools.
