Izzet Affinity is another artifact-and-Urza's-lands ramp deck with almost no relevant activated abilities for Stifle to hit, so it comes out. Force of Negation preemptively stops The One Ring, Karn, the Great Creator, or Ugin, Eye of the Storms, all of which are backbreaking if they resolve. Counterbalance again lines up well against their curve, hitting Thundertrap Trainer, Stock Up, and Giant's Boulder at low mana values. Mishra's Bauble is a marginal cantrip in a matchup where you need real interaction, so it trims out for the extra Force of Negation.
