Ocelot Pride Midrange doesn't main-deck countermagic, so Defense Grid stays in the sideboard, but the deck does generate graveyard value and recursion through cards like Lazotep Quarry and Sand Scout's land triggers; Faerie Macabre lets you proactively discard it to strip relevant cards from their graveyard when needed, while also serving as a 2/2 flying blocker against their token swarm. Omniscience is a 10-mana payoff that does nothing to stop their fast, disruptive clock built around Thalia, Ocelot Pride, and Swords to Plowshares, so it comes out for a leaner, faster plan. The core Aluren/Show and Tell engine stays intact since you still need to assemble a game-ending turn before their board overwhelms you.
