Death and Taxes goes wide with Stoneforge Mystic, Recruiter of the Guard, and cheap creatures like Phelia, so Wrath of the Skies gives us a much-needed sweeper to reset a board we can't keep up with one-for-one. Triumph of Saint Katherine is a lifelink threat that races well, and if we draw it as the first card of a turn we can cast it for its {1}{W} miracle cost. Its Praesidium Protectiva ability only shuffles it and the top six cards of our library back on top face-down when it dies, it never returns from the graveyard. Their Swords to Plowshares and Solitude exile it instead, so it dodges their removal less often than the lifelink body suggests. Daze is weak against a grindy Thalia/Wasteland deck that doesn't mind taking the tempo hit. Consign to Memory has real targets here (Aether Vial, Meteor Sword, and the many enters-the-battlefield triggers on their creatures), so it stays in. Tamiyo is a slow value engine that doesn't pressure a deck full of cheap creatures and Swords, so it comes out for board-based answers.
