Neobrand aims to combo off fast via Neoform/Eldritch Evolution chains into Griselbrand or Ureni, the Song Unending, so this is primarily a race where you want to be as fast and low-to-the-ground as possible rather than durdling. Faerie Macabre can proactively exile their graveyard, disrupting Hooting Mandrills' delve cost or Emperor of Bones-style plans if relevant, though its main value here is as a flexible cheap card. Surgical Extraction is a low-opportunity-cost way to strip a copy of a combo piece if it hits the yard. Practiced Offense and Ox of Agonas are cut since neither helps you race faster, which is the priority against their explosive kill turns.
