Living End assembles its combo by cycling creatures into the graveyard and cascading into Living End via Violent Outburst or Shardless Agent โ your primary disruption is countering either the cascade spell or Living End itself on the stack with Counterspell, Force of Negation, or Consign to Memory. Orim's Chant on their upkeep prevents them from casting cascade spells entirely, while Teferi, Time Raveler is particularly punishing by stripping their ability to cast Violent Outburst at instant speed. Rest in Peace is your most powerful hate piece, since cycling cards go to exile instead of the graveyard, completely dismantling the Living End engine; Chalice of the Void on zero counters Living End when it hits the stack via cascade, and Disruptor Flute naming Living End provides an additional permanent lock. Board sweepers come out because Living End doesn't deploy creatures through normal casting, and low-impact cards like Day's Undoing and Erode are too situational in what is fundamentally a counterspell battle.
