Goryo's Vengeance wants to reanimate Atraxa, Grand Unifier or Griselbrand for a quick haste hit, and Rest in Peace completely shuts off the graveyard, stopping Goryo's Vengeance from targeting anything and hosing Psychic Frog's graveyard exile ability. Consign to Memory counters triggered abilities like Atraxa's ETB or Ephemerate's rebound trigger, giving you cheap interaction against their tempo plays. Celestial Purge exiles their black or red threats like Psychic Frog or a reanimated Atraxa outright. Cut clunky card selection and situational two-mana counters since Rest in Peace and hard counters are far more proactive against their combo plan.
