Surgical Extraction can proactively remove a copy of Vengevine or Hollow One from their graveyard/hand/library to slow their recursion engine, and the extra Requiting Hex is efficient removal against their small aggressive creatures like Blazing Rootwalla and Marauding Mako. We trim slower, non-interactive cards like Revitalizing Repast and Plunge into Darkness since this matchup rewards proactive disruption and cheap removal against a fast, graveyard-fueled aggro-combo deck.
