This Goryo's Vengeance deck reanimates Atraxa or Griselbrand via Goryo's Vengeance and grinds with Psychic Frog, Solitude, and a full suite of counterspells; Grafdigger's Cage completely shuts off Goryo's Vengeance's reanimation target from returning to the battlefield, which is our single best answer to their combo. Surgical Extraction can strip a copy of Goryo's Vengeance or Griselbrand from their graveyard/hand/library at instant speed, disrupting their combo redundancy. The extra Requiting Hex is a cheap, efficient answer to Psychic Frog before it grows out of range. We trim Revitalizing Repast since protecting our own creatures matters less against a deck that wants to combo off rather than race combat, and Plunge into Darkness is slightly worse against a deck with proactive discard and countermagic that punishes tapping out or telegraphing plays.
