Belcher is a pure combo deck aiming to assemble Goblin Charbelcher with an empty or land-light library for a lethal burst, backed by a suite of counterspells (Counterspell, Force of Negation, Spell Snare) to protect the turn. Warping Wail cannot counter Goblin Charbelcher directly since it is an artifact spell rather than a sorcery spell, but it can counter their Preordain or other sorcery-speed setup spells, and its Eldrazi Scion token mode adds a blocker; use its removal mode on their Hydroelectric Specimen or other small creatures. Grafdigger's Cage has minimal impact here since Belcher isn't graveyard-based, so it's more of a marginal include; prioritize simply presenting our own fast clock since they have almost no way to interact with our board once it's established. Play around their counterspell suite when deploying key threats and try to close the game quickly before they assemble the combo.
