Dimir Midrange is full of countermagic (Counterspell, Force of Negation, Spell Snare) and disruption (Thoughtseize, Fatal Push), so Warping Wail gives us flexible instant-speed interaction that can exile their small Orcish Bowmasters or Tamiyo, counter a sorcery, or just make a blocker when we're ahead. Vexing Bauble punishes any free spells they might cast (like Force of Negation's alternate cost) by countering them outright. We trim our narrowest artifact/graveyard hate pieces since Dimir Midrange doesn't heavily rely on those axes, prioritizing resilient interaction instead. Our best angle is to play around their countermagic by deploying multiple threats per turn and using Ancient Stirrings/Malevolent Rumble to keep refueling.
