Mardu Energy goes wide fast with Guide of Souls, Ocelot Pride, and Ragavan, then closes with Goblin Bombardment as a sacrifice outlet that blanks our Leyline Binding and makes Subtlety's bounce irrelevant — shave both. Brotherhood's End is a clean sweeper that answers their entire early board at instant speed for three damage to each creature with power three or less, which covers every early threat they deploy. Force of Vigor is the priority import: Goblin Bombardment is their most dangerous card in the midgame, and an instant-speed two-for-one to destroy it at zero cost (by pitching a green card) is often backbreaking. Tishana's Tidebinder enters to counter key triggered abilities — Guide of Souls' energy accumulation, Ocelot Pride's token generation trigger, or Ajani's transform trigger — while also being a relevant body that blocks Ragavan. Post-board they bring in Thoughtseize to strip our Leylines and Fulminator Mage to attack our mana, so prioritize landing Leyline of the Guildpact early and protect Crashing Footfalls lines through their disruption.
