Goryo's Vengeance is a combo-midrange deck built around Goryo's Vengeance reanimating Griselbrand and abusing Psychic Frog/Atraxa card advantage, so our removal that only hits small creatures (Dead, Dismember, Sink into Stupor) is much weaker against their real payoffs. Force of Vigor comes in as a free answer to Pest Control or any artifacts/enchantments they stick, while Mystical Dispute is excellent since their deck is loaded with blue spells (Ephemerate, Force of Negation, Spell Pierce, Preordain) making it frequently a two-mana hard counter. Keep Force of Negation and Subtlety in to fight through their own counters and disrupt Goryo's Vengeance or Griselbrand triggers. Race them with Crashing Footfalls and Violent Outburst while using Subtlety to bounce their reanimation targets or key threats to the top/bottom of their library.
