Grixis Reanimator lives and dies by its graveyard — Faithless Looting and Thought Scour fill it with Archon of Cruelty and Abhorrent Oculus, then Persist or Unearth brings them back for a devastating enter-the-battlefield trigger. Force of Negation is your most important card in this matchup; prioritize holding it to counter Persist or Unearth rather than using it on setup spells like Faithless Looting. Endurance is your flash graveyard reset, deployed at end of their turn before they can reanimate — it removes their entire yard and replaces itself with a body that can race Psychic Frog. Inevitable Betrayal joins Crashing Footfalls as a second zero-mana cascade payoff that permanently exiles a reanimated threat rather than bouncing or destroying it, which is critical since Archon of Cruelty's trigger fires on both cast and reanimate. Mystical Dispute comes in to answer Abhorrent Oculus on the stack and to fight through their post-board blue disruption (Consign to Memory, their own Mystical Dispute), keeping your cascade chain intact.
