Affinity relies heavily on artifacts (Mox Opal, Engineered Explosives, Mishra's Bauble, Kappa Cannoneer), so Collector Ouphe shuts off Mox Opal and the activated abilities of their other artifacts, such as Mishra's Bauble, Tormod's Crypt and Engineered Explosives. It does not stop Urza's Saga, which is an Enchantment Land rather than an artifact. Fade from History destroys all artifacts and enchantments, which sweeps their artifact board as well as Urza's Saga and Weapons Manufacturing. Each player who controls an artifact or enchantment creates a 2/2 Bear first, so the opponent gets one too, and we only get one if we control an artifact or enchantment ourselves. It also destroys our own artifacts and enchantments, such as Leyline of Abundance and Agatha's Soul Cauldron. Outland Liberator can sacrifice itself to destroy a key artifact or enchantment, such as Urza's Saga or Weapons Manufacturing. This matchup rewards proactive artifact hate over our own synergy pieces, since their board can snowball quickly if left unchecked.
