Vexing Bauble counters their evoked Solitude for free, which is their cleanest way to remove a key threat like Devoted Druid without spending mana they need for countermagic and sweepers. Against a control deck full of Wrath of the Skies, Consult the Star Charts, and Narset, Parter of Veils, resolving and protecting your combo pieces matters more than incremental bodies, so Walking Ballista and Birds of Paradise (both easily swept or bounced) are the cuts. Play around Orim's Chant and hold up mana where possible since they can lock you out of a turn entirely.
