Belcher is a fast combo deck built around Goblin Charbelcher and colorless/blue support spells like Lotus Bloom and Hydroelectric Specimen, so Consign to Memory is excellent at countering their colorless artifacts and triggered abilities, replicating to cover multiple pieces in one turn. Mystical Dispute cheaply answers their many blue spells like Whir of Invention, Sink into Stupor, and Jwari Disruption. Thoughtseize is far weaker here since this is a low-interaction combo deck that can often rebuild after discard and doesn't reliably telegraph its hand the way midrange decks do, so we prioritize hard counters instead; Sheoldred's Edict and the top-heavy Quantum Riddler also come out since they don't interact with the combo. Hold up counterspells every turn and prioritize stopping Goblin Charbelcher or Whir of Invention on sight.
